- We do not hand you a credential without a test, and we do not pass you if you fail. A credential everyone gets means nothing to an employer.
- And we do not claim the credential guarantees you a job. It is evidence of a skill; the decision is the employer’s.
How we handle your data
Your result (score, pass/fail, test date) is saved to your account only and doesn't appear to anyone else automatically. Your credential stays valid for a full year from the day you pass; if you don't retest, that attempt's data is permanently deleted from our systems 90 days after its validity period ends. Any recording you upload is never served directly from storage: every request goes through our server, which checks your live consent before playing it, and withdrawing consent deletes the file immediately and permanently, not on a delay. We log a hashed version of your network address, not the raw address, when recording each consent, purely as a timestamped record. You can download a full copy of your data, including failed attempts, from the export-my-data page, and deleting your account permanently removes every recording and answer tied to it.
Frequently asked questions about this service
Does failing count against me later?
No. A failed attempt (below 70%) doesn't count toward your plan's limit and doesn't consume any free grant or paid credit — only attempts that actually pass are counted. You can retest the same occupation at no extra cost.
Can I retry, and exactly when?
Yes, immediately — there's no imposed waiting period between attempts. The only limit is anti-abuse: up to 10 new attempts started per hour. One practical note: each occupation's question set is fixed, so retesting the same occupation right away shows you the same questions.
Who exactly sees my result?
By default: only you, inside your own account — your result never appears to anyone else automatically. If you enable the "public verification page," a unique, unguessable link is created showing your occupation, score, test date, and validity to anyone holding that specific link, with no name or email attached. The separate "share with an employer" option only records your consent — there's currently no employer dashboard or directory that surfaces your result automatically just from that consent. The only way anyone sees it today is you sharing your public page's link yourself.
What exactly happens when I withdraw consent for the recording?
The recording is permanently and immediately deleted, both from storage and from the database — an explicit deletion, not a delayed or reversible one. Your public page (if enabled) keeps showing your score and result as-is; only the audio clip disappears. You can record and upload a new one later whenever you like.
What's the actual passing threshold?
70% or higher correct answers. Since each occupation typically has 4 or 5 questions, that works out in practice to at least 3 out of 4, or 4 out of 5, depending on your occupation's exact question count.
Does the credential stay valid forever?
No. It's valid for one full year from the day you pass, after which you need to retest to renew it. If it isn't renewed, that attempt's data is permanently deleted from our systems 90 days after its validity period ends.
Can my credential be revoked later?
Yes, in one specific case: if you refund the purchase that specifically granted that passing attempt (not a credential earned through your subscription's included allowance or a free grant). Its public page, if it exists, keeps responding to its link but shows an explicit "revoked" status instead of the result or a misleading "not found."
Can any occupation be tested?
The list shown covers the occupations available in our system today — a limited, growing set, not every occupation in the job market. If you can't find your exact occupation, pick the closest one in terms of actual tasks.
Is the recorded voice defense required to complete the credential?
No. The test itself is entirely independent of it — you get your credential and score as soon as you pass the questions. The recording and the public page are both optional later steps, each with its own separate consent.
Why not just write this skill directly on my resume?
You can, but every other applicant writes the exact same line. The credential gives an employer a link they can open themselves to see whether you actually answered questions built on the occupation's real tasks, and whether you passed. It's proof they verify themselves, not a claim they just read.
