Practice out loud, real questions

Your practice interview

An interviewer persona you choose — it interrupts you if you run long, and asks a follow-up on the actual gap in your answer, not a question from a list.

You have a real interview coming up, and one question keeps replaying in your head: "Tell me about a time you faced a real challenge." You know the story — but saying it out loud, under real time pressure, is an entirely different skill.

A practice interview with an interviewer persona you choose, where you answer out loud through your microphone to questions drawn from your occupation's real, documented tasks — not generic questions that fit any job. The questions themselves are shown as text on screen; your own answer is the voice part.

You leave every session with a report that pinpoints exactly where your answer was strong — backed by your own words — and where it dodged the question or fell flat, so you know precisely what to work on before the real thing.

Who this is for

For anyone with a real upcoming job interview who wants to rehearse answering out loud under genuine time pressure, with questions built from their actual occupation's documented tasks — not generic ones — and an interviewer persona they choose themselves.

And when you don’t need it

Not the right first step for someone who doesn't yet have even one real work story they can tell in detail — evidence density is measured against actual events. If you don't have a story bank yet, start with the Career Stories tool to build one, then come back here.

How it works

1

You choose the occupation and the interviewer's persona — HR, your direct manager, or an executive — each asking in their own style and focusing on different competencies.

2

You answer out loud to questions built from your occupation's real tasks; the interviewer automatically cuts you off past 90 seconds, and may ask a follow-up that digs into the part of your answer you didn't back up with evidence.

3

You end up with a report showing exactly where your answer was strong — backed by your own words — and where it dodged the question or fell flat, with no hiring-probability guess attached.

A real example

This is a real input, and this is what the tool actually returned for it. We did not write it for display. It is one example — your result depends on what you write.

Question #1 — Financial impact

Briefly — "Prepare detailed reports on audit findings." Tell me about a real situation where your decision had a tangible financial or numeric impact: what happened, and what did you personally do?

While auditing our logistics vendor billing, I noticed discrepancies in fuel surcharge calculations. I personally extracted 3 years of shipping logs, cross-referenced them with 450 invoices, and drafted a detailed findings report that proved we were systematically overcharged. Based on my report, I negotiated directly with the vendor and successfully recovered 142000 in overpayments for the company.

Evidence density: 95/100

The user provided exceptionally strong, quantified evidence, citing 450 invoices analyzed and a recovered amount of 142,000, clearly demonstrating the financial impact.

Strengths

Demonstrated strong analytical and auditing skills backed by concrete numbers, successfully recovering a significant amount of money through rigorous data review.

Outstanding ability to plan negotiations strategically, balancing full financial recovery with preserving key operational relationships with vendors.

Overall impression

The candidate demonstrated exceptional auditing and leadership capabilities, supported by precise, real-world examples and tangible financial and operational results. Their responses highlighted a highly structured methodology and a strong ability to manage teams and mitigate risks under pressure.

Why us and not a general chatbot?

Every line here is measured. We ran the same inputs through the same model with our tooling and without it, and measured both sides with the same yardstick.

What matters to you General chatbot Here
Where the questions come from Generic questions that could fit any job, with no real link to your occupation's actual tasks Questions built directly from your occupation's documented tasks in our database — not a generic question bank
The follow-up question A generic next question, or polite praise with no real digging A follow-up that digs into the specific gap in your own answer — and isn't asked at all unless a literal quote from your words supports it
Time pressure You write and revise your answer with no time limit — nothing like the pressure of a real interview A hard 90-second interrupt if you haven't finished — the same pressure you'd face with a real interviewer

And what we will not do

  • We never give you a hiring-probability number or a hiring-decision estimate — we have no access to the actual decision, and a figure like that would be pure invention.
  • We never write a model answer for you, and we don't judge whether your answer was 'professionally correct' — we only measure how much concrete evidence your own words contain, with a literal quote from your answer behind every note.

Frequently asked questions about this service

How do the three interviewer personas differ?

Each persona asks in a different style and focuses on different competencies: the HR persona is warm and probes fit and persuasion, your direct manager gets straight into detail and digs into crisis-handling and fast learning, and the executive is brief and interrupts quickly, focused on financial impact and leadership. Pick whichever is closest to your actual upcoming interview.

What exactly happens if my answer goes past 90 seconds?

The interviewer automatically cuts you off once the 90-second timer runs out if you haven't finished, and evaluates whatever you said up to that point — the same as a real interviewer stopping you mid-answer. This is normal and isn't scored as a "failure"; your report simply notes that the answer was interrupted.

How is the "evidence density" score after each answer calculated?

We measure only how much concrete evidence your answer contains — a number, a decision, or an action you personally took — versus a general opinion with nothing behind it. Every note is built on a literal quote from your own answer; if no real quote supports a note, that note is dropped entirely rather than shown unsupported.

What happens to my typed answer and my audio recording?

The evaluation call never receives audio — only the transcript text you see, which you can edit before submitting. The full audio recording (if you use the microphone) is uploaded separately after the session ends, purely so you can listen back later, and it's automatically deleted after 30 days. If you'd rather not have any audio recorded, just type your answer directly instead of pressing "Start answering."

What if my answers were weak, or I don't like the session's result?

Your report shows exactly where your answers dodged the question, ran too long, or offered opinion without evidence — with no hiring-probability number or final verdict. If you have a stronger story saved in your Career Stories bank that you didn't use, the report points to it specifically. You can start a new session any time, within your plan's or purchased credit's limits.

Which plan includes the mock interview, and how much does it cost?

The mock interview is included in the Plus and Executive plans (and unlimited on Talent) — it's not included in the free plan or in Pro. You can also buy it as a single session at a fixed price regardless of your plan.

Is the report actually used in a real hiring decision, or does it give me a hiring probability?

No. This is guided practice by global standards to help you rehearse before your real interview — we never give you a hiring-probability percentage or a hiring-decision estimate, and your report never reaches any employer. The actual decision rests entirely with your real interviewer.

Can I choose the interview language and attach the actual job posting?

Yes to both. You choose Arabic or English for the entire session, and pasting the job posting text is optional — if you add it, your questions and evaluation are shaped with it in mind too, not just your occupation's general tasks.

The mock interview is included in Plus and Executive plans, or purchasable as a single session.
