Transparency & compliance

Data sources

This page explains how we fetch the job data you ask us to watch, where from, and when we stop.

What we track by your own request

We only check one specific company careers page if a signed-in user explicitly asks us to watch it themselves — we never pick a page on our own.

General sources we add ourselves, after legal review

In addition to what you ask us to watch, we also pull individual job postings from a small number of general job sites we chose ourselves, after reading their published terms of use and confirming they contain no explicit ban on automated data collection. The mechanism is deliberately narrow: we discover job links from a sitemap the site itself publishes for exactly this purpose, then read each job’s data from the standard JobPosting format (the same one search engines read) — we do not extract content from pages written for human eyes, and we do not crawl general search-result listings. Sources active today: wdeftksa.com.

We honor robots.txt

Before every fetch attempt, we read the site robots.txt file and stop immediately if it disallows the page we want. This check runs every single time, not once and cached.

Every attempt is logged

We log every fetch attempt with its time and outcome, whether it succeeded, was blocked by robots.txt, or failed for another reason. This log is permanent and nothing is deleted from it.

Ask to be excluded

If you own a site and do not want us checking your pages, email us and we will exclude your domain right away.
